The official site is the authoritative source for Shibuya Sky, and the cheapest route into it. It is also the least flexible.

THE ROOF SHIBUYA SKY — Rooftop sofa seating with entry, drinks and snacks. ¥7,000 standard set, ¥8,000 champagne set. Season 29 April to 25 December 2026. Minimum two people; under-20s not admitted even when accompanied.
Annual pass — ¥10,000 new, ¥8,000 renewal. New sales were suspended when we checked on 3 September 2026, with renewals still accepted.
Premium Photo Plan — For Japan residents only. ¥29,800, or ¥57,600 with kimono, including entry for two and a 30-minute shoot producing 15–20 images. Sold from fourteen days out until three days before.
Seasonal event tickets — Occasional dated products tied to rooftop events.
What it doesn’t do
Anything beyond fourteen days. The site states plainly that tickets are sold up to two weeks ahead. Slots open at 00:00 Japan time exactly fourteen days before your date and do not exist before that. This is the single biggest constraint on planning a Shibuya visit.
Child tickets online. Not sold anywhere online, including here. Families end up doing this in two stages, and if adult tickets sold out online the desk has nothing either.
Bundling. You cannot add a kart session or a workshop. That is what the platforms are for.
Foreign currency. Priced in yen.
Why buy direct anyway
Price. ¥2,700 or ¥3,400 for adults is the floor. No reseller goes lower.
Exactness. Time slots come straight from the venue’s own inventory.
Official-only products. THE ROOF, the annual pass and the photo plan exist nowhere else.
Authority on the rules. The rooftop restrictions, weather closures and event schedules are published here first and correctly.
The rules you need before you go
These come from the official ticket page and matter more than most people expect.
Rooftop restrictions. No bags, backpacks or pouches; no tripods, monopods or selfie sticks; no earphones or headphones; no hats or caps; no food or drink, chewing gum included; nothing that could blow away. All of it goes into lockers on 46F. Only a phone and a pocket-sized or neck-strapped camera or binoculars come up.
Large luggage cannot enter the building. Use the coin lockers around Shibuya Station first.
Bag checks on entry.
Late arrivals may be refused. Being late for your timed slot is a real risk given how confusing Shibuya Station is.
Weather closures without notice. Strong wind, rain, snow, approaching thunderclouds, photochemical smog and extreme heat all close the rooftop. The 46F indoor gallery stays open; your ticket price is the same.
Pushchairs. Only the venue’s loan pushchairs on the rooftop, from the 46F information desk in limited numbers, with some areas including the helipad off limits. A baby carrier is recommended.
When to use a platform instead
When you are booking several things. A deck slot plus a kart session plus a workshop, from overseas, in your own currency, in one basket. See Klook.
