Shibuya Tickets is an independent visitor guide to Shibuya, Tokyo.
What this site is not
Worth stating first, to avoid any confusion.
It is not an official website. We have no affiliation with SHIBUYA SKY, Shibuya Scramble Square, MAGNET by SHIBUYA109, Shibuya Parco or any other venue or company.
It is not a ticket shop. You cannot pay here. Booking buttons open Klook or GetYourGuide, and the transaction happens there.
It is not a travel agency. We do not arrange itineraries or operate tours.
What it does
It puts the things you need to know before you arrive in one place.
Specifically:
- What the observation deck costs and when tickets go on sale
- What you can see at which hour
- What you are not allowed to take onto the rooftop
- Which experiences require a driving licence
- What local ordinances restrict
- What is free and what is not
All of it is information that arrives too late if you learn it on the ground.
How we research
Primary sources first. Prices, opening hours and entry rules come from venues’ own websites. We do not treat aggregator sites or travel blogs as evidence.
We date our checks. Every page says something like “checked on the official site on 3 September 2026”. Prices and hours change, and a guide that does not tell you when it last looked is not worth relying on.
Ratings are recorded, not invented. Where we quote a rating or review count for a tour or experience — 4.9 from 672 reviews, say — that is the figure displayed on the platform’s product page on the date stated. It is not our assessment.
We leave out what we cannot verify. Where a number is unsourced, or moves too fast for us to stand behind, we say “check the booking page” rather than publishing a figure.
We publish the downsides. That the Shibuya Sky rooftop closes for weather, that tickets are unavailable more than two weeks out, that go-karts require a licence you cannot get in Japan. None of this encourages a booking. Omitting it would be dishonest.
How the site is funded
Through affiliate commission.
How it works — If you book on Klook or GetYourGuide through our links, the platform may pay us a commission.
What it costs you — Nothing extra. The price on the platform is the same whether you arrive through us or not.
Whether it shapes what we write — No. Our Shibuya Sky tickets page states plainly that buying direct from the official site is cheapest. That earns us nothing. It is simply true.
Every affiliate link carries nofollow sponsored attributes, which declares them as advertising to search engines as well as to readers.
Languages
The site’s primary version is Japanese, with English, Simplified Chinese, Italian, French and German editions.
These are adapted rather than translated. What needs explaining, how prices are framed and what background knowledge can be assumed all differ by audience.
Reviews of booking platforms and tour operators are published in English only.
