This explains how shibuyatickets.tokyo (“this site”) handles personal data and access information.
1. What we do not collect
This site does not ask you for:
- Account registration
- Your name, address or telephone number
- Card details
- A login or password
There is no contact form; correspondence is by email only. Where you email us, the content and your address are used solely to respond and to keep a record.
We do not sell tickets, so we never handle payment information.
2. Server access logs
The server hosting this site records access logs, as any web server does. These typically include:
- IP address
- Date and time of access
- URLs requested
- Referrer
- Browser and operating system
They are used to run the site, investigate faults and detect abuse. They are not used to identify individuals.
3. Embedded booking widget (GetYourGuide)
Some pages embed a booking widget provided by GetYourGuide.
How it behaves — The widget is loaded when it approaches the viewport rather than when the page opens. Once loaded, it communicates with GetYourGuide’s servers.
What GetYourGuide may receive — IP address, browser information, which page of this site you were viewing, and interactions with the widget. GetYourGuide operates its own privacy policy and cookie practices.

4. Affiliate links
We take part in the Klook and GetYourGuide affiliate programmes.
How it works — Booking buttons pass through an intermediate URL on this site (addresses beginning /go/) before reaching the platform. Our partner ID is passed to the platform in the process.
What the platform does — It may use cookies or similar technology to identify which site referred you, so that any resulting booking is attributed correctly.
What we receive — We do not receive individual-level data about who booked what. Platforms report aggregate click and conversion counts only.
Cost to you — Nothing additional.
5. Cookies
This site sets no tracking cookies of its own.
Third-party cookies may be set when:
- The GetYourGuide widget loads
- You follow an affiliate link to a platform’s site
Those are governed by the relevant company’s policies. You can control cookie acceptance in your browser. Disabling cookies may stop parts of the widget working.
6. Leaving this site
We are not responsible for how personal data is handled once you move to an external site — Klook, GetYourGuide, a venue’s official site, Wikimedia Commons or any other.
Consult those sites’ own privacy policies.
7. Disclosure to third parties
We do not sell, rent or otherwise supply information obtained from users to third parties.
The exception is disclosure required by law.
8. Children
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
9. Retention
Email correspondence is deleted once the matter is closed and any period for which it is needed operationally has passed.
Server access logs are retained for the period set by our hosting provider.
10. Your rights
If you want access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data you have sent us — the contents of an email, for example — contact us below. We will respond so far as is reasonable, subject to verifying your identity.
11. Changes to this policy
We may amend this policy. Amended versions take effect when published here. Where changes are significant, the last-updated date at the top of this page will change.
