Klook — reviewed for Shibuya

Klook is the only major platform selling the SHIBUYA SKY entry ticket itself, and it holds eight Shibuya experiences no other platform lists.

Overall 4.2 / 5 Last updated: 2026-09-03 Reading time: 3 min Disclaimer. This is an independent visitor guide to Shibuya. It is not the official website of SHIBUYA SKY, Shibuya Scramble Square or any other venue, and it is not affiliated with them. We do not sell tickets. Booking buttons open Klook or GetYourGuide. The verdict

In one paragraph

For Shibuya specifically, Klook has the strongest inventory of any platform: the SHIBUYA SKY entry ticket, five go-kart operators, and eight experiences — sumo, chopstick making, matcha, tea ceremony, an izakaya crawl, a sightseeing bus, a massage studio and MAG8 — that no competitor lists. It is not the cheapest route to the observation deck; the official site is. What Klook sells is language, currency and the ability to book an entire Shibuya day in one transaction, which for overseas visitors is usually worth the difference.

For Shibuya specifically, Klook is the platform with the deepest inventory. That is a statement about this district, not about the company in general.

What it actually has

The SHIBUYA SKY entry ticket. This is the important one. GetYourGuide, for all its strength in Shibuya tours, does not sell standalone entry to the observation deck. Klook does. Its listing showed 4.7 from more than 46,000 reviews and over three million bookings on 3 September 2026.

Five go-kart operators. Akiba Kart Shibuya (4.8, 1,700 reviews, 60,000+ bookings), Street Kart Shibuya and its Annex (both 4.9), Shibuya Kart (4.7, 673 reviews) and Monster Kart (4.7, electric karts, Shibuya to Harajuku). Having all five in one place is what makes comparing routes and meeting points practical. See go-karts in Shibuya.

Eight experiences nobody else lists. As at 3 September 2026:

  • Shibuya sumo show — 5.0, 517 reviews
  • Two chopstick-making workshops, plus a third studio
  • A matcha workshop, and a separate tea ceremony
  • A three-hour izakaya crawl — 4.9, 159 reviews
  • The Shibuya Street Ride open-top bus
  • A massage and beauty-device studio
  • MAG8, the rooftop lounge at MAGNET by SHIBUYA109 — 4.3, 628 reviews, 30,000+ bookings

If any of those is on your list, there is no decision to make.

What it does not do

It is not the cheapest way into Shibuya Sky. The official site sells adult entry at ¥2,700 before 15:00 and ¥3,400 from 15:00, and no reseller undercuts that. Anyone claiming otherwise is not comparing like with like.

It cannot beat the fourteen-day window. Deck inventory opens fourteen days before the entry date at the venue. Klook receives it at the same moment as everyone else.

It does not sell child deck tickets. Nobody does. Child entry — primary school age including 12-year-olds, ¥1,200 — is sold only at the venue’s ticket desk on the day. Families book adults online and add children at the window. See Shibuya Sky tickets.

When to use it

Use Klook when you are booking more than one thing.

The maths is straightforward. For a single deck ticket, buying direct saves you money. For a deck slot, a kart session and a workshop, booked from overseas in your own currency, with one confirmation trail and one support contact — the difference is usually worth paying.

Use it when the product is Klook-only. Eight of Shibuya’s experiences are.

Buy direct when your dates are fixed, you only want the deck, and the booking form is not an obstacle.

Things to check before you pay

Cancellation terms are per product, not per platform. Klook lists everything from freely cancellable guided tours to non-refundable timed entry. The terms are on the product page.

Language of the activity is separate from language of the site. Klook’s interface being in your language does not mean the guide speaks it. Several Shibuya products run in English only, some in English and Japanese. It is stated on each listing.

Review counts vary enormously. The SHIBUYA SKY listing has tens of thousands. The matcha workshop had thirteen on 3 September 2026. A 4.9 from thirteen reviews is a much weaker signal than a 4.7 from 46,000.

Meeting points need checking on a map. Products titled “Shibuya” can start a ten-minute walk from the station — Maruyamachō, Jinnan, Higashi. Look it up after booking.

Sources and disclosure

Product names, ratings, review counts and booking volumes are the values displayed on Klook’s own product pages on 3 September 2026 and change over time. Official Shibuya Sky prices come from the official Shibuya Scramble Square ticket page, checked the same day.

This site participates in affiliate programmes including Klook’s. If you book through our links we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That does not affect the assessment above — this page states plainly that the official site is cheaper for standalone deck entry. See about this site.

Guide tips

Use it when you're booking more than one thing

A single deck ticket is cheaper direct. Klook earns its margin when you are booking the deck, a kart session and a workshop from overseas in your own currency, and want one place to manage them.

It is the only route to eight Shibuya experiences

The sumo show, both chopstick workshops, the matcha workshop, the tea ceremony, the izakaya crawl, the sightseeing bus and the massage studio are Klook-only. If any of those is on your list, the choice is already made.

Read cancellation terms per product, not per platform

Klook lists everything from freely cancellable tours to non-refundable timed entry. The terms sit on the individual product page, and they vary considerably.

Check which language the activity runs in

Klook's interface being in your language does not mean the experience is. Several Shibuya products run in English only, a few in English and Japanese. It is stated on the product page.

Checked in practice

What works

  • The only major platform carrying the SHIBUYA SKY entry ticket
  • Eight Shibuya experiences not listed anywhere else
  • Five go-kart operators, so you can compare routes and meeting points
  • Multiple languages and currencies
  • Everything for a Shibuya day in one basket

What to watch out for

  • More expensive than buying deck entry direct
  • Bound by the same 14-day inventory window as everyone
  • Cancellation terms vary widely between products
  • Review counts on newer listings are still thin

FAQ

Is Klook cheaper than the official Shibuya Sky site?
Generally no. Adults booking online direct pay ¥2,700 before 15:00 and ¥3,400 from 15:00. Klook's value is booking in your own language and currency and combining several activities, not a lower headline price.
What can I only book on Klook in Shibuya?
As at 3 September 2026: the Shibuya sumo show, two chopstick-making workshops, a matcha workshop, a tea ceremony, a three-hour izakaya crawl, the Shibuya Street Ride sightseeing bus, a massage studio, and the MAG8 rooftop at MAGNET by SHIBUYA109. None of these appear on GetYourGuide.
Can Klook sell me a deck slot more than two weeks out?
No. Inventory opens fourteen days before the entry date at the venue, and no reseller can create it earlier.
Is Klook reliable?
Its SHIBUYA SKY listing showed 4.7 from more than 46,000 reviews and over three million bookings on 3 September 2026, which indicates a well-established operation. Individual experiences vary, so check the reviews on the specific product.
Can I cancel a Klook booking?
It depends entirely on the product. Some allow free cancellation, timed-entry tickets often do not. The terms are on each product page — read them before paying.
Does Klook work in Japanese?
The platform supports Japanese among other languages. Whether the experience itself runs in Japanese is separate and stated on the product page.
